Galleri Nos och Detroit Stockholm är ateljékollektiv och konstnärsdrivna gallerier i Stockholm. De har under flera år gjort utställningar med intressanta konstnärer och nu är det dags för dem själva att visas i en utställning där de byter lokal med varandra, Detroit färdas söderut till Tallkrogen och Nos tar sig norrut mot stan.

Nos startades 2016 och drivs nu som en ideell förening med sex medlemmar.
I anslutning till galleriet har de även sina arbetsplatser. Detroit startades 2007 och består av ett tjugotal konstnärer, deras ateljéer och ett galleri.

I Detroits utställning på Nos kommer mörkret sväva genom platsen.
Nos däremot kommer bringa ljusare energier till den kalla innerstaden.

Det finns ganska få konstnärsdrivna plattformar i landet, vi vill ge rum åt oupptäckt konst, bidra till en bredare konstscen, ge plats åt andra och nu få ta plats själva. Vi vill genom vårt kollektiva arbete skapa den inkluderande scen vi själva saknar. Detta utbyte blir också en möjlighet för oss att lära känna en annan plats, ett annat kollektiv och lära oss av och med varandra.

Detta blir ett tillfälle till möten, lära känna, hänga, kolla på konst och kanske klappa en hund.

Galleri Nos and Detroit Stockholm are studio collectives and artist-run galleries in Stockholm. They have for several years done exhibitions with interesting artists and now it's time for themselves to show their art in an exhibition where they change exhibition space with each other, Detroit travels south to Tallkrogen and Nos heads north towards the city. Nos was started in 2016 and is now run as a non-profit association with six members. In the same location as the gallery, they also have their studios. Detroit was started in 2007 and consists of twenty artists, their studios and a gallery.

In Detroit's exhibition at Nos, darkness will float through the place.
Nos, on the other hand, will bring brighter energies to the cold inner city.

There are not many artist-driven platforms in the country, we want to make room for undiscovered art, contribute to a broader art scene, give space to others and now be able to take place ourselves. Through our collective work, we want to create the inclusive scene we ourselves lack. This exchange also becomes an opportunity for us to get to know another place, another collective, and learn from and with each other.

This will be an opportunity for meetings, getting to know, hanging out, looking at art and maybe petting a dog.
